Please Pray

This Week is HOOK WEEK!!!
This week in Cherokee Trail, Grandview, Smoky Hill, and Eaglecrest High Schools the gospel will be given.
Each school will send out students two by two to invite students sitting in the hallways to come into a classroom on campus to hear the gospel!
Please pray that students will be bold to invite students they know and don't know into the room to hear the gospel. Also pray for students that do come into the classroom, to be open to the message that is so prevalent this time of year (CHRISTmas). Pray the holy spirit goes before these students and prepares their hearts and minds so that the truth of the scriptures are revealed to them in a personal way.

Our youth pastor meeting has grown to 11 youth pastors in the area, and we are starting to film the videos to give to new converts to Christ, to help them become disciples.

Over 100 students have given their life to Christ on campus this year through First Priority of the Front Range! Praise God for you, this ministry, and what God is accomplishing through it.
These students that are accepting Christ on campus are not church kids. These kids really are street kids, some coming strait from "smokers corner" into a room to have donuts and orange juice, and to hear what our club is all about.
These students are not rejecting Christ, they have just never heard it before. This ministry is so important, and is starting to grow quickly.

Thank you for all you do for my family, and this important ministry.

If you have a desire to help out with providing donuts and orange juice for these clubs please let me know how you would like to help

Youth Pastors Disciple Students!

Well, if you read the title, you are probably thinking duh...
But the reality is, that we had 58 students accept Christ on campus at 3 schools last year (Cherokee Trail, Smoky Hill, and Grandview High Schools) in the last three months of school!!!
Praise God right!
Well the discipleship depends on a few things
1. student relationship
2. connecting the new Christ follower to the church through the relationship
3. the church the new Christ follower attends has a discipleship program.

We have been working on a few things over the summer together as one body. First, we have been bringing our discipleship programs at each of our churches up to par. Not just saying to a student "come back next week", but an actual program for new believers to help them become true disciples, not just converts.

The other thing myself and 7 other youth pastors in the area have been working on, is the fact that because the students are going out into the hallways in their schools, and inviting students in to hear the gospel, that are not necessarily their friends. When the unbelieving student does accept Christ into their hearts, the person that invited them into the club on campus, is not necessarily their friend. So it is tough for the student to get plugged into a church and become a disciple. These students are mostly non-churched kids who have never stepped foot into a church or gone to youth group, but now have the Spirit of God living on the inside of them, and are wanting to know whats next.

So I believe God has given me a cool, and relevant solution to this big problem of making disciples not just converts. I am working on a video mini series that would be on our website, where a new believer could go to and watch 5 short videos on "What's next" for a student that has accepted Christ into their heart. The theme of the videos is what just happened, what does it mean, and why they need community. Community being the main theme running through out each video, and at the end of the videos, we will have all 7 of our churches youth group meeting times and days that we meet. The point would be to get them to visit youth groups and have the youth pastors ready to plug them into their discipleship program as soon as possible.

We have already started to shoot the first video and soon we will have the videos up and ready for the new believers, so they can know God and let God guide their life from now on!

Please pray for the production of the video and for more financial support during these tough times.

Thank you for all you do for this ministry!
God is using your money and prayers to fund and drive this ministry forward to reach a lost and hopeless generation with the love and hope of Christ.

Very Quick Update-7 more saved at GVHS

I am not sure what is with the number 7... other than the obvious, but it seems like the number 7 sure comes up a lot! Praise God. We have had 56 students saved on 3 campuses saved since February 9th!! God is doing some amazing things in this district!

I am currently working with a few gentlemen in Mapleton (which in Commerce City), and a few youth pastors in Broomfield who are interested in starting First Priority in their schools.

I met with some youth pastors in Castle Rock yesterday, and told them about how many students have been saved on Campus and they were shocked!! They could not believe what was happening ON CAMPUS! There next question was how do we follow up with the students that accept Christ, and after I showed them how we do it, they were so excited! They are going to be the catalysts to talk to other youth pastors in their area to start First Priority on more campuses in Castle Rock!

Please pray for those youth pastors to keep that excitement, and to tell other youth pastors about all that is happening on campus.
Pray for our area to continue to grow. I have talked to 2 more youth pastors who want to not only join our Aurora network, but want to have a big part in the future!

GODAWEsome!!!!!

God has been doing some amazing things lately. I have met a few more youth pastors who want to be apart of what God is doing on campuses through First Priority. After each hook week, I call the youth pastors of the students that brought a friend to hear the gospel at their school and tell them, that one of their students brought a friend and that friend accepted Christ a which ever school they are from. It has created opportunity for me to have a meeting with the youth pastors and tell them what God is doing on public school campuses through FP!!

I sat down with one yesterday who is totally on board with what we are doing. From wants to help out in every area, from his students becoming leaders in the club, promoting it at his youth group, to helping out financially if possible!!

I am meeting with another youth pastor tomorrow for lunch. Please pray that it goes well.

This morning at Smoky Hill high school 2 more students accepted Christ for the first time!!! The numbers were down a little bit from weeks past, but we had 17 students in the room. We played a game, had donuts, and I gave the gospel. One of the students that accepted Christ at SHHS was a boy who came in for just the donuts and a glass of milk. He was leaving, and literally when he had one foot out of the classroom, and one foot in, he stopped and turned around. I told him he was welcome to stay, and he said "I think I will" Anyways short story long, he was one of the students who accepted Christ this morning!!!! God actually stopped him at the door and convicted his heart, and He gave up his life and accepted Jesus!!!! His name is Josh M. please pray for him.

At Cherokee Trail this morning there were 28 students, and 9 of them accepted Christ today!!!!! That school is rocking Jesus! Courtney a junior there, showed the Propaganda video, and then explained the gospel to everyone. She prayed with them and 9 of them accepted Christ! How cool is that. Propaganda is a Christian music artist who raps about God. The video explains the gospel well. It is pretty cool. you can check it out below. Just click the link below and you can watch the 5 minute video.

Please keep praying for these students to hear and respond to the gospel!! 49 students have accepted Christ since January 1st of this year on public school campuses!

6 More saved at Grandview!!!!

This Morning at Grandview HS Jess, a junior there, gave the gospel and 6 students raised their hands to say they gave their life to Christ! The students went into the hallways and invited other students in to hear the gospel!
Things are a movin and a shaken in GVHS!! Please continue to pray for them.

I spoke at Smoky Hill HS this morning. It was Inspiration week, and the club is starting to grow. There were 2 new boys that showed up today. (The club was made up of 14 girls before). Please continue to pray for SHHS, that there will be some strong leaders raised up there to take over the club, and make it student lead, instead of Shannon lead.

At Cherokee Trail this morning it was Inspiration week too. They had Tiffany's Pastor come and speak to them about staying strong, and that there are people to help you to stay strong! I heard it was awesome and very impacting.

Please keep praying for students to come to know Christ on all of these campuses, and that we can duplicate this strategy all over the Denver metro area!

9 saved this morning on 2 campuses

Nikki went to Cherokee Trail this morning, and went with the students into the halls and invited students to come to a class room and have some donuts. They met 2 students who were very against "religion" and would not come in. Please pray for them and the rest of CT to be open to the gospel.
The gospel was given in a classroom on campus and they made it clear that if you have accepted Christ before, mark that box, and if you only came for donuts, just write that, but if you accepted Christ today for the first time please mark that box, and 7 students accepted Christ for the first time this morning at CT!!!

I was at Smoky Hill this morning, and the morning started slow. Ten minutes in only 3 students were there. A few more came, but we were running so far behind. 3 Students went into the hallways and came back with zero new students. Still running late, 3 other students went into the halls and came back with 7 or 8 new students, one looked like she needed Jesus bad. (Don't judge me... lol)
We played a very quick game, and I had 6 minutes to explain the gospel, and follow up with the students. I gave the gospel as fast as I could (do not try this at home) The one girl who I thought needed Christ, was so uncomfortable during the gospel, I thought she was going to burst out of her skin! At the end I did not have time to hand out the follow up cards so I asked everyone to keep their head bowed, and eyes closed, and as soon as I said that, the same girl opened her eyes and looked around. When I asked if anyone accepted Christ for the first time today, 2 girls sitting right in front of the one girl with her eyes opened, raised their hands. The girl with her eyes open looked like a ghost at this point. The bell had already rung, so the students got up and left. fortunately for me, the 2 girls that accepted Christ have been coming since last hook week. I plan on following up with them in 2 weeks. (after spring break). Please pray for the other girl, that she will come back.

Praise God

Student Leader Meeting

I met with the 7 student leaders at Grandview High School today. We planned out the rest of this month and the beginning of next month. Tomorrow they are having the pastor from the Ethiopian Evangelical Church come and inspire them to live like Christ! Should be awesome!!
Next week is spring break and then they will be back for Share week in April. They have 3 students lined up to share what God is doing in their lives!
This club is doing so awesome, and all the students seem to be excited to go into the hallways and invite students to come and hear about Jesus!

Tomorrow I am going to Smoky Hill High School for hook week. Please pray that the students who are bold enough to go into the hallways and invite students into a classroom on campus to hear the gospel will be able to do so with Christ like love. Pray that students will receive the gospel and respond to it.

9 SAVED AT GRANDVIEW HS

It has taken a while, but the students are all really buying into the strategy and seeing immediate fruit!
I was at Smoky Hill HS on Wednesday morning, and we had 19 students there for I (Inspiration) week. That is soooo cool to see, because of the struggles in the last few years there.

At Cherokee Trail only 9 students showed up to their Focus week, so Courtney, a junior, told everyone they were going into the hallways to gather up peeps to come to the club. They had no donuts, or juice to entice the students... LOL But they ended up with 30 and Courtney had a back up talk she gave and had new students come to her after and thank her, and tell her they would be back!!

It was Hook week at Grandview High School. This club has been going for a few years now, and I am not sure they had bought into the strategy yet, and we are not sure if any students had come to Christ because of the club. The club was continuing to grow, but just Christian students were coming to the club. Which is good, but at the same time, they were not inviting their non-Christian friends.

New strategy alert: Now before every hook week the students will go into the hallways and invite in students they know, don't know, and acquaintances. They did that at GV yesterday and they had so many students in the room, that some had to sit on the floor! Cameron, a senior, gave the gospel and an opportunity for them to respond, and at least 9 accepted Christ yesterday!!! They did not hand out the response cards to be sure, but have assured me that will never happen again...
Love those kids! God is working in them to reach, their friends, and strangers at school!!!!!!

Awesome plus Awesome= GODAWEsome!

So I am sorry this has taken me so long to put up, cause it really is GODAWEsome!
Last week I gave the gospel at Smoky Hill High School and 7 students accepted Christ!
There were 21 people in the room, 13 of which had already accepted Christ as their Lord, God, and Savior.
That leaves 8 students left. 7 of them filled out the follow up cards and put that they accepted Christ that day. That leaves 1 student left. I looked at the cards and she put other. I thought maybe she was Mormon or something. I was not sure what "other" meant. Did not really know why we have that as an option. I do now!
The girl got my number from another student. She called me later that night to tell me, that she had known Christ when she was a young girl, (she is only 16 now) but she had" bad things happen to her, and she asked God to stop them, and He (God) did not stop the bad things" So she pulled away from God. She said that day (last Wednesday) was the first time anyone had tried to talk to her about God since that time, and that God had softened her heart that morning. So me being me, I asked her if she had made a decision about letting Christ back into her life yet. She said not yet. (other) But that she was really really close and was excited to come to the club on campus every week.

The gospel works!! If we are faithful to give the gospel, God will do the rest!
This is the best strategy in the world and it is 2000 years old. Thank you for all of your support! We are in this together, and I firmly believe we all will be throwing these crowns at the feet of Jesus on the last day.
Lets keep up the good work.
“ How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

7 More Accept Christ this morning at SHHS

I was at Smoky Hill High School this morning for hook week, where the students invite their friends to come have fun, have breakfast, and hear the gospel. We had 21 students come today at Smoky Hill! Which is a huge step for that school. Chick-fil-A donated 20 breakfast sandwiches, honey, and jelly!! (Thanks Chick-fil-A)
13 Students showed up this morning and went into the hallways to tell their friends what we were doing. 21 students came to a class room on campus and heard the gospel this morning, and 7 of them accepted Christ today!!!
I was doing the math. We had 7 saved last week at CT, 7 this week at SHHS. The gospel is given 9 times a year at each school. If only 7 accept Christ each hook week, that is 63 students a year per school. FP is in 8 schools. So 8x63=504. We would have 504 students a year accepting Jesus as their Lord, God, and Savior. In 5 years we would have 2,520 students saved... You can do the rest of the math.
I am thinking Revival!!! How does a revival start???

7 saved at CT this morning

Nikki Bruegger and I talked last week about the goal of First Priority and we were talking about the thousands and literally thousands of students at Cherokee Trail High School that do not know Christ as their Lord, God, and Savior. Specifically we talked about the smokers and pot heads that stand across the street and smoke off campus. Nikki met with the two of the student leaders from CT yesterday and they talked about how they could invite the "distressed, discontent, and the hurting" to hear the "Good News"!
This morning at CT The smokers and the druggies came to FISH! Nikki asked them who told them about the club, and they said, "I do not know, but we are here for the donuts"! LOL
Praise God!!!
Michelle (a senior) gave the gospel this morning and 7 of them said they accepted Christ!!!!!
So good to see first hand how amazing this ministry and strategy is. If you want to be encouraged just ask Nikki how her morning was...

At Smoky Hill High School it was Share week. We had 3 new faces this morning and Alycin gave here testimony. She did a fantastic job, especially since she just became a Christian in August of last year. One of the new faces was a Mormon boy, a freshman with a huge personality. Pray for him, that he will come back next week to hear the gospel on campus at SHHS, and that he will bring his friends.

Youth Pastor Network Meeting

I just met with the youth pastors in the Aurora area. It was good to get together with them again. We talked about the upcoming night of worship for all the First Priority students in Cherry Creek. It is pretty God Awesome that we are starting to join together. It has been a long hard road to get the Church to unite, but progress is being made, and I can see God starting to work through it already. When we as the Church are working together we are fulfilling what God intended for us all along.
Next week we are getting together to plan out our calendars for the remainder of the year and the summer, which is important so we stay on task for next school year.

Jump Street!!!!

Last night we took 44 students on the bus from Trinity Baptist Church, and met up with 20-30 students from FISH in the Cherry Creek school district to a place called JumpStreet. (10,000 square feet of trampolines)
The students at Grandview, and Cherokee Trail wanted to start having of campus activities, that could unite the clubs together! Pretty cool idea.
It was a very good turn out for our first event. February is still in the air, but we have begun planning, as youth pastors, the night of praise and worship in March. (It will be Friday March 18th @ Fellowship Community Church-more details to come)
Luke 17:22-23 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Jesus wants us to be united, and these students and youth pastors are beginning to see this happen!
Keep praying.

This morning I was at Eaglecrest High School for Inspiration week. (f.I.s.h. -The I in Inspiration)
Where the students contact a speaker to come and challenge them to live out their faith in school and in their lives. The theme for this month is "Priorities" When the student leaders got together to plan the second semester, they said they wanted to make priorities important for the rest of this year.
I spoke on Who and what is first in your life? I related it to time spent with things or people, and you know your First Priority by the time you spend with it or them. Exodus 20:5 tells us that God is jealous. We know God is a jealous God, but do we know the rest of the chapter and the context. He is jealous when we let other things take the place of God. When we let Face Book replace the time we should be spending with God, we have made FB an idol. Idols have no power in themselves, just the power we give it. It is our heart that is the idol creator. (Jesus says in Matthew 15:19)
But God does not want to be first in our lives! Putting God first means giving him the first part of our week, the first part of our day, and the first part of our money. But if that is completely true then the rests of our week, day, and money is our and is for what we want. Not true. our entire week is for God, our entire bank account is Gods. Then God wants to be the center of our lives, not just first. If He is the center of our life, then He will also be the first part of our day, week, and money, but the rest is His too. The difference is that we need to filter all our thoughts, and actions through Jesus. Everything from what I should wear to what should I do next.
The kids really grasped the concept, and wanted to try it today. I hope some of them get back to me and let me know how they were transformed by the word of God this morning!
Remember them in your prayers today.

Rocky Heights Middle School

Last Wednesday I was able to attend the FISH club at Rocky Heights Middle School in Douglas County.
It was so AWEsome to see 18 middle school students fired up and at school @6:45am. Pretty darn impressive since none of them can get themselves there at that time. They also said it was a low number for some reason, because they were averaging around 30!
The school sponsor is amazing! She told a little bit of her testimony and encouraged the students to share some thing God has done in their life. The next 35 minutes were spent listening to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders tell story after story about how God has worked in their lives!!! We actually ran out of time before all that wanted to share could.
Very encouraging to be there and see students so young talking about Jesus on campus. Next week is Hook week, and this is the main reason for growth in this school. They have been inviting their friends to come and hear the gospel on campus, and their friends have been accepting Christ at a young age, and coming back for more!
Keep Rocky Heights in your prayers

Grandview student leaders meeting

Last week I stopped in to the GVHS weekly leaders meeting. It was very refreshing to see them planning out their next FP cycle. Plus they are starting to feel the tug of the Spirit of God on their hearts to unite the FISH clubs together, not just their churches.

They are in the process of starting a once a month event for all FISH members, so they all can hang out and talk shop! It is in the making, but have decided to call it the "1-8" They are going to try to hold the events on the 18th of every month and use Hebrews chapter 1 verse 8 as there theme verse.

The 18th of January we are going to "JumpStreet" (ten thousand square feet of trampolines).
The 18th of February is in the air still, but the
18th of March we are putting together a night of thanksgiving, praise, and worship!

Please pray for these events and for the Spirit of God to grasp a tight hold on their hearts.

New Years Eve Bash

We had 5 churches from the area come together for an All Nighter! From 9:30pm-6am
We had Heath McNease again, and he blew it up once again.
Jeff gave the gospel, and 2 students gave their life to Christ for the first time, and we had over 20 rededications.
It was a great night, and so important for our churches to continue to unite as one body.

Meeting with EHS student leaders

Last Friday December 31st, I met with 4 students from Eaglecrest Highschool. It was pretty much one of the best student meetings I have ever had. We planned out the next 4 months of the FISH cycle. That is par for the course, but they also wanted to put into practice the application of what they are teaching. This is what I mean. Ever month we try to come up with a theme for that cycle. January's theme is PGF. (Put God First)
The goals for the month are:
1. What students are prioritizing first now, and why?
2. Testimonies of the leaders who are placing God first now
3. A checklist of what students place first in their lives at the beginning, and then again at the end
4. And best of all testimonies of students who start to place God at the top of their priority list from this, and how their life is transformed.
The student leaders are wanting to see lives changed!
I am sooo excited to see what God does this semester in EHS
Please pray that they get a room now. They have been meeting in the cafe, which seems awesome, but there are more rules to abide by in the cafe, than a room.
